The Million Dollar Throw

What contributes to Nate "losing his arm," making impossible for him to complete passes that were once easy for him? How does Nate's father react when Nate says he is feeling pressure? Is it fair for Nate's father to react this way? Has Nate's father caused any of this pressure? What would have been a more helpful reaction?

  1. Being chosen for the million dollar throw contest hd distracted him especially when the reporters were at one of the games. Nates father reactes by getting mad at him for feeling pressure and yells at him. Its sorta fair in a way because he lost his job and is just fustrated about it. Yes nates father as caused some of this pressure because he lost his job and now Nate thought that now they will lose his house. What would have been a better reaction is if his father had been calm about losing his job.

  2. If Nate lost his throw he would not make the million dollar throw. When Nate's father reacts he didn't want Nate to lose his throw. No because his father needs to help him throw a football. Yes because Nate's father his father lost his job. It would help to put less preasure on Nate.

  3. If Nate lost his good throwing arm he would have a reason for losing his skill in that one specific arm most likely a pshycial reason. Nate's fatherreacts concerned like any parent probably would. I think it is fair a parent should be concerned about their child's problem's. Nate's father could have caused some of Nate's pressure i think he did by losing one of his jobs and being laid off on the other. A more helpful reaction to Nate's pressure could have been concern and not anger.

  4. Nate is under a lot of pressure. His father thinks its not normal and thinks he needs it back and thinks Nate shouldn't be under pressure. No, because he is causing part of the pressure. Yes. Its ok foucus on the game and practice more and your arm will be fine in time.

  5. Nate "lost his arm" becouse of on of the Dennison boys stepped on his hand. His dad said that Nate didnt know what pressure was. I think it was becouse he was mad. I think his dad coused some pressure. Just talking would have been better.

Nate "lost his arm" because of pressure about the million dollar throw. When Nate tells his father he has somewhat of a temper tantrum, telling Nate he doesn't understand anything about pressure. It isn't fair for Nate's father to act this way. He shouldn't act this way because Nate is only a kid and doesn't understand "real world" pressure! Nate's father has caused some of this pressure because he keeps worrying about money! A more helpful reaction would have been to calmly tell him that is was okay or encourage him.

  7. Nates father reacts in a normal way because Nate did'nt have a lot of pressure on his back. The only pressure Nate had on his back was Abby being blind so he tried to tell Abby that there is a way to restore your eye sight so she can see again. I think it is fair for Nates father to react this way because they are having a hard time. A more helpful reaction to this situation was to sit down and talk to Nate so he dooes'nt feel like he has more pressure on his back. More pressure would really make Nate feel bad.

  8. Nate was so nervous that his arm was going bad.
Nate's dad becomes angry and starts to shout. I'm not sure, because his dad is under the pressure yet Nate is still a kid and doesn't understand everything. Nate's dad has caused more pressure for when Nate goes to make th million dallor throw. if Nate's dad had told Nate that there is not as much pressure as Nate thinks there is.

  9. he lost his arm so to say by all the pressure of the reporters. Nates dad thinks Nate doesnt know pressure and gets angry at him. I think its fair for Nates dad to be angry because he had lost a job and he had to take care of his family. I think Nates dad has caused pressure on Nate because he wants him to make the throw. I think Nates dad could of ben nicer to Nate and not of gotin angry.

  10. Nate and his father had a little fight about he being on so much pressure than his dad was. His dad was angry when Nate keap compaining on how is arm hurt and that he cant make the throw on the big night. I can see why Nate's dad was angry at him his dad was going though a lot the past days and Nate keap saying how much pressure he was on.

  11. What contributes to Nate about losing his arm is that Nate doesn't have enough pressure on his back because he wouldn't be able to throw the ball.Nate's father reacts in a nomal way because Nate tells his father Nate doesn't know what pressure is.It is fair that Nate's father reacts in this way because he tells Nate what pressure is.Nate's father is caused in any pressure because he is worried about that he is going to lose the house because he doesn't have enough money. What would be a more helpful reaction is that Nate won a million dollars to help with Abby's eyesight.
